Communication Research 1: The Basics is known as one of the most challenging courses in the Bachelor Global Communication Science. That’s why UniClass is offering an intensive exam training to help you prepare effectively for the exam.
The training will be taught by Matvey Sogomonov, an experienced senior student who completed the course with a high grade and already helped many students pass their Communication Research courses last year.
During the training, all important topics for the exam will be covered, with a strong focus on understanding the material and applying it to exam-style questions.
The training will take place online via Zoom. You will receive the Zoom link one day before the training.
Training Schedule
22 Sep: Foundations of Research — Empirical cycle, good science, Lasswell’s formula, research questions, and scientific/societal relevance.
24 Sep: From Theory to Testable Research — Concepts, variables, hypotheses, conceptual models, operationalisation, validity, and reliability.
29 Sep: Understanding & Describing Data — Measurement levels, visualisation, mean/median/mode, variance, standard deviation, z-scores, and distributions.
1 Oct: Relationships & Scale Testing — Correlation, factor analysis, factor loadings, Cronbach’s alpha, and building reliable scales.
6 Oct: Research Designs — Causality, experiments, threats to validity, surveys, sampling, and the difference between random sampling and random assignment.
8 Oct: Full Exam Preparation — Everything comes together through mixed exam-style questions, calculations, interpretation, and research scenarios.
